Diana Keenan was born in Tokyo, Japan. She received her B.A. in art education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in New Jersey. She worked for several years as an art teacher. In later years she used her artistic skills as a dental laboratory technician (A.S. Pensacola State College) making precision customized dental prosthetics. There she honed her technical skills ( in metal and porcelain) that she later translated into creating jewelry. She mentored with enamellist James Carter and has taken classes with enamellist Kristin Anderson along with metalsmith Tim Lazure, Betty Helen Longhi and Doug Reiser. She makes enamel and Cloisonné enamel jewelry along with metal jewelry. She predominantly works with sterling silver, fine silver (.999) and copper. She has participated for many years with Metal Works Guild in the Greater Gulf Coast Art Festival Heritage Arts and received an Award of Excellence in 2016. In 2018, participating in her first solo show, she received an Award of Merit Jewelry at the Riverwalk Art Festival in Milton, Fl. She currently resides and works in Pensacola Florida.
