My interest in woodworking began when I was in college and I bought a table saw to make furniture. Over time I gravitated toward making smaller things and boxes became my favorite genre. I don’t use stains or added coloring of any kind. No nails or screws are in my work, just wood and tight fitting glue joints. I use booth hand and power tools so that my boxes are a pleasure to touch and use. All the woods I use are natural save for a clear hand rubbed oil finish. My work is both functional and sculptural with a bit of whimsy. The woods I create with come from every continent except Antarctica. Working wood is truly a joy for me.
