Janet Levin

Janet moved to the Pensacola area in December 2001. She and her husband chose Florida as their retirement Home.

Janet lived in many new places both in the United States and abroad including Japan, Belgium, Switzerland, and Spain. Each new tour brought opportunities to study art with a focus on people, portraits, and the study of “Old Masters” techniques. Janet has studied with Retha Sedell, Honey Carlin, and other European artists. Locally she studied with Arion Hoes, Elaine Woodward, and Madeleine Fanning. She has won several awards in local shows in various countries and states and two National Orchids Society art exhibition awards in the Washington, DC Orchid Society art exhibitions.

Current;y Janet paints in watercolor, oils, and charcoal drawings by commission. She showed her work from 2001 until October 2016 at the Dragonfly Gallery in Milton, Florida. She and Fred moved from Pace to Pensacola in 2017. She continues to exhibit and sell her paintings privately.

Janet has had an exciting career in nursing. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and as a harper (playing the harp locally).
