I started taking photographs and fell in love with the possibilities while living in Miami. Taking photography classes and joining local camera clubs and competitions helped improve my composition and style techniques. Starting out, I learned photography by only using slide film and learned how light critically affects all images. These lessons continue to be valuable now that I use digital equipment.
After retiring and moving to the Florida panhandle, my interest in photography has continued to grow. I prefer outdoor photography including landscapes, nature, birds, airshows and of course, the Blue Angels. Still life images are also a part of my portfolio.
My images have been published many times and I have won a number of awards.
