Chip Spirson is currently based in Pensacola, Florida. He works in many media including oil paint, tempera, acrylics and inks, sculpture including upcycled and found objects. His inspirations come from observations of daily life. He has the ability to take in abundant information from the natural/social world and synthesize personalized interpretations creating compositions of inquiries into things that are. Chip Spirson is listed in the Creek Hall of Fame, was the winner of the Miss. Ala Bi-State juried show, and has been awarded Best of Show, First Place and second to honorable mention in multiple juried shows at Artel Gallery. His work is part of the permanent collection of the Meridian Mississippi Museum of Art. He has been accepted to display works at the Great Gulfcoast Arts Festival. The Pensacola Symphony honored Chip by composing sonatas to some of his works.
