I am a ceramic artist who transitioned from landscape and horticulture management to ceramics, discovering a deep passion for this medium. After graduating from Pensacola State College with a degree in Landscape and Horticulture Management, I found my true calling in ceramics.
I take an innovative approach to my work by digging my own clay and creating custom glazes from local earth elements. This allows me to integrate elements from my surroundings into my pieces, pushing the boundaries of traditional ceramics and reflecting a strong connection to my environment.
My work has earned several awards, including Best in Show at Pensacola State College and the Judges’ Award at the Pensacola State Fair. I have exhibited my work in various galleries and exhibitions throughout the area.
In addition to my studio practice, I am actively involved in the local ceramics community. I volunteer at Pensacola State College and participate in local wood-burning kiln sites. As a member of the Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society, I collaborate with fellow artists and support ceramic initiatives.
I am committed to exploring and redefining the boundaries of ceramic arts, driven by a passion for innovation, sustainability, and a deep connection to my surroundings. Most of all, I have fun! My passion for ceramics is matched by the joy I find in creating and exploring new possibilities in my art.
