Morris’ primary criteria for a painting are that the subject or concept be interpreted visually as interesting and entertaining and has an emotional connection with the viewer. He is especially fascinated by the vivid use of color in his portrait, figurative, landscape, floral and abstract paintings.
Becoming an artist has been a life-long dream and Morris has taken this exciting journey by studying with a number of artists who paint locally as well as other nationally-recognized artists.
A clinical psychologist, his interest in people and their experiences as they journey through life are especially reflected in his portraiture and figurative paintings. In these paintings, he attempts to capture a sense of the person’s unique personality. He accepts portrait commissions in watercolor or oil.
His paintings have been exhibited in local galleries and many are in private collections.
