June’s featured show, DRIFT, brings together the work of Jennifer Flemming, Joan Overton, and Sue Woodson, three artists with very different visual languages, sharing the room beautifully.
Jennifer Flemming’s work rounds out the show with layered textures and organic movement that quietly hold your attention the longer you spend with them.
Joan Overton’s abstract paintings lean minimalist, but never cold. Her work explores clean compositions infused with wit, softness, and the occasional visual surprise.
Sue Woodson’s pottery has its own kind of personality entirely whimsical, imaginative, and impossible to walk past quickly. The pieces feel playful without losing craftsmanship.
Together, the show feels loose, thoughtful, coastal, slightly dreamlike.
Live music for the reception will be provided by Bob Teague on guitar and John Barksdale on harmonica and flute, which feels exactly right for an evening called DRIFT.
