Exhibition Ends:Sunday 30 June ,2018
Reception : Friday June15, 2018, Gallery Night @ Blue Morning Gallery

Featured Artist:
Mark Schmitt- Tile Art
Carol Loethen – Painting
Marianne Arroyo -Painting

Marianne Arroyo finds inspiration in the glimpses of everyday life around her. The beauty of Northwest Florida and the Gulf Coast provides an endless source of ideas for her art. While the scene before her is subject enough, Marianne is often drawn to the scene within the scene for her paintings. Inspiration can come from seeing patterns in nature, or how light hits an object or casts shadows….

Carol Loethen is a award winning artist specializing in the use of vibrant color, in a loose free spirited style. She began creating art at an early age as she came from a family of artist and designers. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. Carol’s art work speaks to the soul and the eyes. Whether depicting portraiture, animals, or nature, her art work is uplifting and joyful and reflects her passion.

Mark Schmitt is only one of a handful of artists working in tile art. His unique art consisting of colorful tile and wood is recognizable by the precision cuts and spacing of tiles in his wall hangings, mirrors, clocks and tables. Each original piece takes between 10 and 15 hours to create over a period of 7 to 10 days, due to various drying times of stain, adhesives, polyurethane, grout and sealant.

In this show, Tammy utilizes talents learned over the years to show her perspectives in pottery from the whimsical to the stylized reality of the Everglades.
